Asaduddin Owaisi, chief of All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) termed the Delhi violence as 'genocide' and asked the prime minister to raise his voice against it. He asked PM Modi to discharge his duties and bring the perpetrators to justice.

Speaking on the occasion of the party's 62nd foundation day, Owaisi said that the provocative comments by the BJP leaders have ensued to the violence in Delhi which killed over 40 people. The comments created a storm of hatred against the Muslims and that is not good for the country, the AIMIM chief said.

"I thought of the Prime Minister have learned something from genocide in Gujarat in 2002, but he another genocide took place in Delhi in 2002," Owaisi said adding that hatred has been spread against Muslims in the last five and a half years.
