Assistant professor kills son, commits suicide in Hyderabad
A woman who was working as an assistant professor in a private college has killed her 10-year-son and later committed suicide here at her residence in Hydershakote in Lakshmi Narasimha Colony in Narsingi on Friday evening.
A woman who was working as an assistant professor in a private college has killed her 10-year-son and later committed suicide here at her residence in Hydershakote in Lakshmi Narasimha Colony in Narsingi on Friday evening.
According to Narsingi inspector Gangadhar, Bhargavi, a native of Guntur was residing in Hyderabad along with her husband Satish, a software engineer, a son and one-year-old daughter. Bhargavi had been suffering from health issues since she gave birth to her daughter last year. Unable to look after her, Bhargavi gave away her child to a daycare centre and was worried about her 10-year-old son.
Depressed over her health condition, Bhargavi hanged her son to death and later killed self when her husband went to the office. When Satish returned home from the office, he found her wife and son hanging from the ceiling.
Satish informed the police who rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to Osmania General Hospital for autopsy. The police booked a murder case and launched a probe.
