Balapur ASI attempts suicide in police station premises

Hyderabad: An Assistant Sub-Inspector allegedly attempted suicide by self-immolation in the premises of Balapur Police station limits on Friday afternoon. According to police sources, Narasimha who belongs to Badangpet was transferred from Medchal Police station to Balapur PS.Alleging that the Balapur SHO is harassing him he poured petrol on him and set ablaze by climbing a water tank near the Police station limits. With the help of locals police personnel shifted him to the nearby private hospital at Kanchanbagh for emergency treatment. More details awaited.
