The success of Bharat Bachao Rally of the Congress organised in Delhi on Saturday has revved up rank and file of the State much to the satisfaction of PCC and leaders.
Hyderabad: The success of Bharat Bachao Rally of the Congress organised in Delhi on Saturday has revved up rank and file of the State much to the satisfaction of PCC and leaders.
Hundreds of Congress leaders and workers joined the rally in Delhi on Saturday. They had booked railway coaches to reach Delhi. Some leaders caught flights to reach Delhi.
PCC leaders said that the response from the leaders and workers of the party to the rally was voluntary. They went to the rally not because of the warnings issued by the PCC but by their own volition.
The Congress is struggling to keep the party active and intact in the State after the successive defeats in the Assembly and two Parliament elections. The Opposition parties have been criticizing the grand old party that it would disappear soon in the state.
Under these circumstances the success of the rally has become a booster dose for them. This has given them enough confidence to organise more programmes against their political opponents.
PCC treasurer Gudur Narayana Reddy who participated in the programme in Delhi said that hundreds of the State Congress leaders and workers participated in the rally with a lot of enthusiasm.
He said that they were enthralled by the speech of former president of Congress Rahul Gandhi at the rally. Rahul's speech infused confidence into the party leaders in their fight against the BJP.
Most of the senior leaders of Telangana Congress participated in the Delhi rally much to the satisfaction of the AICC leaders. Cutting across the groups all the TS Congress leaders came together to make the Bharat Bachao Rally a success.
Several leaders of the Congress said that apart from the rally in Delhi, the success of Congress in Maharashtra Assembly elections have also revved up the spirits of Telangana leaders and workers.
The party's strategy to keep BJP away from continuing in the power in Maharashtra has raised the hopes of Telangana leaders. Losing one state after the other by BJP has been raising the confidence levels of Congress party workers.
Congress leaders have been making it clear that the developments in the past two months have been proving beyond doubt that their party was the only alternative to TRS in the State.
The BJP's boasting that it would be the only alternative to the TRS and would come to power in Telangana have been proving to be false and people would continue to support the Congress against the ruling Pink party.
