BJP emerging strong force in Telangana: Laxman
Telangana BJP president K Laxman on Friday said, “All roads are leading to BJP in Telangana.” and the party is providing a platform for all those vying to take on the TRS misrule in the State.
Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president K Laxman on Friday said, "All roads are leading to BJP in Telangana." and the party is providing a platform for all those vying to take on the TRS misrule in the State.
He made the statement while addressing the media along with the TDP and Congress leaders who joined the party on Thursday in the presence of the party national working president J P Nadda at Delhi.
Laxman said the TDP had lost ground in Telangana State and it was not able to even contest in the elections. The Congress could contest, but it had failed to retain the confidence reposed in it by the people. Adding to this, the dynastic and unilateral rule of the TRS headed by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has been leading to fast eroding the popularity graph of the ruling party.
He claimed that there has been a growing restlessness among the people over not getting results for which they had fought for the cause of separate Telangana even after five and a half years the TRS rule. This was visibly expressed during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections shattered the dreams of the TRS chief to remote control the government at the Centre.
"The TRS is not concerned about people, unemployed, farmers, martyrs of Telangana movement. It was only concerned with the accessing to more loans going beyond the FRBM limits and pushing the State into a debt-trap," he said.
Terming the BJP is against the Chief Minister splurging public funds in the name of constructing new secretariat and the State Assembly spending about Rs 600 crore. At a time, when the State has to shell down around Rs 13,000 crore annually for debt servicing and people in Telangana are in need of school buildings and buildings, drinking water in the rural areas etc.
He said KCR promised to construct super speciality hospitals in every district in the State. While not a word was heard about it, the State government has given approvals for the construction of TRS party offices in every district, he pointed out.
Several TRS leaders in the party could clearly realise what is in store for them in 2023 State Assembly elections and began introspecting. "BJP welcomes all those who have joined in the fight for separate Telangana into its fold to fight against TRS and to achieve the ideals of a just and democratic Telangana," he said.
