Hyderabad: Secunderabad MP and Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy and party Telangana Chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar have mounted a scathing no-holds-barred attack on Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's government charging it as responsible for the Telangana battling with the current Covid crisis.

Addressing at the Old Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad Districts Jan Samvad virtually rally on Saturday, Kishan Reddy expressed fears whether the Hyderabad would explode with the Covid cases due to the negligence of the State government.

Demanding the State government to increase the number of tests on a war footing, he asked it, what problem the government has to conduct more number of tests.

"People do not know where to go and get tested, not aware of where to take admission if their tests turned positive," yet, the leaders in the government claim doing a great job.

Dismissing the statements of State Health Minister Eatala Rajender, the BJP MP said the Centre has extended all the assistance it had extended to all other States in the country.

Giving details of the Central assistance to TS, he said, the Centre has given all the freedom to the State to take decisions. And only asked not to neglect to contain the spread of the deadly virus. But, "Lack of timely and unilateral decisions and following the diktats of Majlis by the TRS government in the State has pushed the people of Telangana and Hyderabad into a crisis," he added.

He said, without naming the TRS chief, that those in the governance who have to instil confidence and faith among people during the crisis go to the farmhouses to protect themselves. But, "where people of Hyderabad should go to protect themselves from Covid?" he asked.

The Secunderabad MP asked people of Hyderabad to take all necessary precautions to protect themselves from Covid than reposing too much faith in the government to save them. Karimnagar MP and BJP State chief Sanjay Kumar charged the State government for failing to implement the lockdown strictly in the Old City. Further, attacked CM KCR for taking orders from the Majlis and handled the containing spread of Covid with political interests in mind. In turn, now it has resulted in people of Hyderabad and adjacent district to suffer, he alleged.

Taking exception to TRS calling BJP communalizing the Covid, he said, "Some were fed with cashew, badam Biryani and juices during treatment for Covid at Gandhi Hospital. And, some others admitted have come out as lashes, for not able to get Oxygen, ventilator support etc," it all exposes the double standards of facilities extended, he alleged.

He also dared the TRS chief to spell out as to who all attacked nurses, doctors, Asha workers, police officials, hospitals? Calling the TRS-MIM playing "Rakasha Rajakiyam" (Politics of Demons), he asked people to support BJP for the development of Hyderabad and old Ranga Reddy districts.
