The state BJP leaders met president Ramnath Kovind in Delhi today over Telangana inter-board fiasco. The leaders explained the issue to the president which claimed the lives of students.
Addressing the media later, BJP state president Lakshman said that they took the issue to the notice of the president. "Around nine lakh students appeared for the intermediate exam, out of which three lakh students failed and 27 students committed suicide," Lakshman said.
Lakshman also said that they had demanded the minister's resignation after the issue. He further continued that they have met Amit Shah on Sunday and urged him to initiate action against the issue.
The students committed suicide due to the negligence of the intermediate board, he added.
