BJP wants government to turn Rythu Vedikas into PPCs

Hyderabad: State BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar alleged conspiracy behind the State government's intention to close the paddy procurement centres.
Addressing the media on Monday, Bandi Sanjay demanded Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to convert all the Rythu Vedikas, constructed with Centre's assistance, into procurement centres.
Taking a dig at the TRS chief, the BJP leader said that it took so long for the Chief Minister to get acquainted with the new agricultural laws. He asked the CM to wake up and desist from imposing policies which have been taken unmindful of their consequences on the common man in the State.
"If KCR tries to play politics with the farmers' welfare, then BJP will not only fight the TRS and the CM, but also plough his farmhouse," Bandi said.
Bandi Sanjay alleged that the new antics of TRS chief meant to divert the attention of people and confuse the farmers. "Our party will launch a statewide agitation in a big way if the State government fails to continue the procureent centres and convert the Rythu Vedikas into procurement centres," he warned, adding that if CM implements the farm laws sincerely and works for the welfare of the farmers, then the BJP would extend all its cooperation to the State government. Otherwise, the party was committed to the welfare of farmers and would fight against the decisions of the State government detrimental to the farmers.
"The Chief Minister claimed that the State has incurred a loss of Rs 7,500 crore on account of procurement. Paddy is procured by the Food Corporation of India (FCI) and cotton by the Cotton Corporation of India (CCI). He (CM KCR) should give the details of how the State has incurred losses," he demanded.
In fact, it was the farmers of Telangana who have incurred heavy losses and have become beggars by cultivating the fine verity of paddy on the advice of the Chief Minister.
Calling the TRS chief a 'U-turn CM', he said earlier the CM had promised to distribute urea free of cost to the farmers, but took a turn and similarly, he took a U-turn with regard to implementing Covid precautions in the State.
Later, he released a mobile application for the voters of the graduate constituencies going for polls. Party MLC N Ramchander Rao said that the mobile app would help the voters to figure out their name in the voters lists and polling booths, where they can cast their votes.
