A BJP worker from Wyra of Khammam district was stabbed to death on Saturday morning. Rama Rao who suffered serious injuries died while undergoing treatment.
Getting into details, the accused is said to have gone to the residence of the BJP worker near the Old bus stand and attacked him multiple times with a knife. Hearing the screams, the family rushed to him and dialled 108 vehicle. However, he died while on the way to the hospital. Wyra CI Vasanth Kumar and SI Tirupati Reddy inspected the spot.
The police registered a case and ascertaining the reasons ensued to the attack. Efforts are underway to nab the accused who fled the spot after attacking the BJP worker. More details are awaited.
