An engineering student committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling at her home under SR Nagar police station limits on Monday morning.
An engineering student committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling at her home under SR Nagar police station limits on Monday morning.
The girl's mother alleged that she was being harassed by a youngster. Unable to take the harassment, she took the extreme step, she said. The police were alerted who examined their house and shifted the body to a hospital for post-mortem. Based on the complaint of the girl's father, SR Nagar police registered a case and launched an investigation.
The reason for her suicide is yet to be confirmed. Meanwhile, the police are trying to nab the youngster for further enquiry. More details are awaited.
