According to sources, Khammampati Anthaiah brought Rs 2.75 lakh to pay the bank loan and kept the amount in his almirah. On Sunday evening, all the family members went to a local temple to participate in Bonalu celebrations.

The offenders who kept an eye on Anthaiah and his family members, entered the house by breaking open the lock of the main door and decamped with Rs 2.75 lakh cash by opening the almirah with keys which were kept near the almirah and fled the spot.

Family members of Anthaiah were shocked when they found the door of their house open when they returned in the night.

After confirmation of burglary, the victim Anthaiah lodged a complaint with the local police. Police with dog squad and Clues team has collected evidences from the spot.

Suryapet rural CI Venkateshwar Reddy stated that police would crack the case soon and arrest the culprits.
