Cattle rearer attacked by bear in Achampet

Nagarkurnool: A man was attacked by a bear in Nallamalla forest area in Mannanoor village of Amrabad mandal in Nagarkurnool district on Monday.

According to sources, Vadthya Ravi, a cattle rearer from Mannanoor village had gone into the forest to graze his cattle.

However, he was attacked by a bear in the forest. Somehow he escaped the attack and came to Mannanoor injured severely. The villagers alerted 108 ambulances and shifted him to Achampet hospital for treatment.

The forest officials have acknowledged the attack and searching for the bear so that they could shoo it away from the residential places to deep into the forest.
