Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was giving top priority to welfare of the people and in this regard, the government had introduced several schemes for their uplift. " Over Rs 45,000 crore are being spent on welfare schemes," he informed, adding that the State government has been spending Rs 800 crore on Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes.

Both the schemes have built confidence among parents that they can perform the marriage of their daughter without landing in any financial crisis.

"Child marriages have declined considerably after the implementation of Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes in the State," the Minister said.

Stating that the government was planning to spend Rs 55,000 crore on welfare schemes, Jagadish Reddy said Rythu Bima, Rythu Bandhu, Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya were unique schemes implemented by the TRS government to bail the farmers out of crisis.

District Collector Amoy Kumar, Zilla Parishad chairperson Deepika, district library chairman N Srinivas Goud, ZPTCs Jeedi Biksham, Sanjeev Naik, party Huzurnagar constituency leader Shanampudi Saidi Reddy and beneficiaries participated in the programme.
