Chiluka Ravi wins Choppadandi MPP election in Karimnagar
Police dispersing BJP and TRS activists in Choppadandi on Friday
Karimnagar: Rukmapur MPTC and TRS candidate Chiluka Ravi won the Choppadandi Mandal Praja Parishad president election on Friday.
Tension prevailed for sometime due to presence of MPTC Tirupathi in the TRS camp. The police resorted to lathicharge to reduce the confrontation between the BJP and TRS activists.
In the MPP election held on Friday, Chiluka Ravi won the Choppadandi MPP election by 6 votes. Meanwhile, it was heard that the Independent candidate and MPTC Tirupathi was kidnapped. His wife Maunika complained to the police that the MPTC Tirupathi was kidnapped by the TRS workers.
Four independent MPTCs won in this mandal.TRS party expected to maintain the same strong foothold in Choppadandi also.
TRS won only 2 MPTCs. They lured independent MPTC into their camp. Four MPTCs from BJP won and Indian National Congress got one MPTC. BJP was just one seat away from winning the MPP seat.
