The CITU has by 27 votes defeated INTUC in the BDL (Kanchanbagh) Employees’ Union elections with the support of TRSKV union. This is its second victory.

Patancheru: The CITU has by 27 votes defeated INTUC in the BDL (Kanchanbagh) Employees' Union elections with the support of TRSKV union. This is its second victory. Union leader Yadagiri said the win has been possible because of its relentless efforts for workers' welfare, describing it as 'workers' victory.'

As against the 2012 votes polled, out of the total 2043 votes, the Star symbol of BDL Employees' Union (CITU) secured 990 votes, while INTUC got 963. The BMS got only 53, while six votes were declared invalid.

Workers in the BDL Township celebrated the CITU win by bursting crackers and distributing sweets. Union members garlanded Ambedkar's statue and took out a victory rally in the township. Union leaders Yadagiri and Kasi Reddy, while thanking the workers, assured to stand by them.
