City awash with colours
The otherwise busy roads with traffic, vendors and others in Karimnagar city on every day are looking empty except for those, who were playing Holi on Thursday.

People of all ages played the festival of colours, dancing to the drum beats and music.
People visited their friends' houses and played holi and distributed sweets.
Meanwhile, all business activities including vegetable market, which usually remains open even during the worst law and order situations and on other holidays, remained closed and joined the celebrations.
There was very less vehicular traffic on the roads.
The entire city, except for a few Muslim-dominated localities, was awash with colours and it was a day for youngsters to lead the celebrations right from morning till late in the afternoon roaming around the streets, sprinkling and splashing colours on each other.
But SSC students couldn't enjoy the festival as their exams are underway.
