Akhil, a native of Jangampalli village of Mirudoddi mandal is suffering from cancer and has been undergoing treatment to MNJ cancer hospital in Hyderabad for treatment. Akhil was also subjected to undergo COVID-19 tests during the treatment and has tested positive, said Mirudoddi healthcare officer Mallikarjun.
Siddipet district has witnessed a constant rise in the cases for a week now. Earlier, a couple and a man who returned from Mumbai have tested positive for coronavirus on May 26 and 30 respectively.
