Nirmal: Responding immediately to a petition submitted by midday meal workers union during Prajavani programme, District Collector M Prashanthi ordered Mandal Education Officer to clear all the pending bills of midday meal workers immediately.

The Collector received as many as 40 grievances during Prajavani held at the Collector's conference hall in Nirmal on Monday. Midday meal workers union district president M Monavva submitted a petition to the Collector, requesting to release the pending bills of midday meal workers. She said that the workers are suffering due to non-payment of salaries and some of them are borrowing money from financiers at a high rate of interest.

The Collector immediately ordered District Education Officer Pranitha and the Mandal Education Officer, through a video conference, to release the pending bills and not to hold their payments in future also.

K Rajeshwar of Narsapur (G) under Laxmanachanda mandal asked the Collector to issue pattadar passbook to him and the Collector ordered the Mandal Revenue Officer concerned to issue pattadar passbook to him immediately.

Raju of Pochampad village of Soan mandal requested the Collector to do motivation to his land and Jangalapalli Kamalam of Ashok Nagar of Khanapur mandal wanted the officials to issue ownership certificate. Sayanna, Ganganna, Satyavati and others of Chowkpalli village of Mamada mandal submitted a petition requesting to change their Lavani Patta into POT patta while Nagamani of Tamshamanjuru of Nirmal mandal requested to sanction motor pump set to her through S C Corporation. Collector Prashanthi ordered the authorities concerned to immediately sanction motor pump set to her. She also ordered district officers to clear all the pending grievances within a week.

30 grievances are pending with the District Rural Development Officer, 11 in District Panchayat Office, nine in electricity department, five in DCO, 10 in District Medical and Health Office, 12 in ICDS Office,10 in Land and Survey department, four in District Education Officer, and three petitions are pending with Marketing Department. Several grievances are pending in Tahsildar and MPDO offices, the Collector said and ordered the tahsildars and MPDOs to attend the grievance cell programme from next Monday without fail.

Joint Collector A Bhaskar Rao, Revenue Officer Someshwar, District Rural Development Officer Venkateshwarlu, ZP officer Sudheer, RDO Bhainsa Raju, District SC Development Officer Kishan Yadav, District BC Development Officer Vijay Kumar, District Planning Officer Ratnam, DEO Pranitha, DM and HO Vasanth Rao, District Area Hospital Superintendent Dr Suresh, District Animal Husbandry Officer Dr Ramesh Kumar and others were present.
