Another dark news emerged in the medical field. Contrary to the rules, there have been reports of clinical trials on newborns and infants at the famous Niloufer Hospital. The Clinical Trials Registry of India reports that 300 children had undergone drug testing since May last year. The report found that the experiments were performed on children under the age of 14, starting from newborns to inpatients.

Children undergoing clinical trials were first divided by age group, and then 300 children from three wards were treated with antibiotics. The General Ward, Pediatric Intensive Care and Neonatal Intensive Care were selected at the rate of one hundred. Besides, males and females are divided according to a plan, and the drugs are applied against them. How did the drug work on them? What is its effectiveness? The study revealed that there had been studies comparing with other drugs.

The state government became serious about experimenting with the lives of young children. The committee has been summoned and ordered to investigate the whole incident. The committee, headed by Principal Secretary Ramesh Reddy, comprises Dr Rajarao, Lakshmi Kameshwari and Vimala Thomas. They held an inquiry in Niloufer for about 5 hours. However, Niloufer Superintendent Muralikrishna said that they are cooperating with the investigation.

However, Professor Ravikumar, who is facing charges, says that the clinical trials are being conducted following the rules. He explained we are cooperating with the committee in all ways. He ruled out charges against him.

Some of the children's parents who came to Niloufer say their children were drugged after they gave permission. They are monitoring children's health.

Two doctors of Niloufer hospital participated in these clinical trials along with representatives of pharma companies and others assisting them. Clinical trials have been underway in Niloufer for the past ten years. Clinical trials are also underway at Gandhi, Osmania and NIMS hospitals, the report said.
