CM lacks commitment to ban Uranium mining: VH
Former MP and senior congress leader V Hanumantha Rao on Wednesday alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has no commitment to ban Uranium mining.
Hyderabad: Former MP and senior congress leader V Hanumantha Rao on Wednesday alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has no commitment to ban Uranium mining.
He also alleged that the Chief Minister had forgotten the issue after passing a resolution opposing extraction. He said that the CM had not followed up on the issue with the Centre. Rao alleged that the officials of the Central government were still trying to carry out their efforts to extract uranium.
Speaking to media persons, he asked the chief minister as to how long he would cheat the people of the State. He also wondered as to why Chandrashekhar Rao and his counterpart from AP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy were not approaching the Central government with a plea to stop the Uranium mining process. He said that they would intensify their agitation on the issue after the completion of the Huzurnagar bypoll.
