Hyderabad: The first day of Assembly session convened to pass a few bills witnessed arguments between Congress and TRS over MLAs defections. Raising the issue, CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka said the ruling party's actions to poach 12 Congress MLAs and the merger decision was anti-democratic.

As he tried to speak further, Speaker objected to it that he would not allow further discussion on it as the matter was sub judice. Later, K Chandrashekhar Rao tried to downplay the issue stating this was not a new trend in politics. He said Congress MLAs in Karnataka were also joining BJP. What can TRS, which has a two-thirds majority can do if Congress has problems in not able to retain its own MLAs. He said he was giving clarification as Congress is diverting discussions on bills by raising a subject that is sub judice
