Karimnagar: When all sections of staff belonging to different government departments participated in Sakala Janula Samme, the then Congress government did not remove even a single employee, but Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao dismissed thousands of RTC employees who are fighting for their justifiable demands, said former Minister and Manthini MLA D Sridhar Babu here on Monday.

Sridhar Babu and TPCC working president Ponnam Prabhakar extended their support to the RTC employees' strike and met RTC JAC members staging dharna in front of the bus depot in Karimnagar.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLA alleged that the people are noticing the cunning behavior of CM KCR. He had made several promises before elections and now going back and threatening the RTC employees after coming to the power.

With the intention of privatising the RTC, CM KCR is behaving stubbornly with the RTC employees and is trying to transform the RTC Corporation into Mega Road Transport Company. Around 50,000 employees along with their family members will come on to the road with the privatisation of corporation, he added.

Handover the RTC to the employees, they will bring the profits and show the government how it should be functioned. The government is trying to allot 50 percent of routes to the private sector and further to dissolve RTC, he alleged.

The Congress party will support the RTC employees in their fight and even also will with them in legal fight if they take, he assured.
