Cool.. Idea! : Lord Ganesha accepts donations through UPI here!

The times are fast changing… Ganesha accepts digital currency now.

In what can be termed as a perfect blend of technology and tradition, a young devotee is seen transferring her donation through online transaction by using a UPI gateway, scanning the QR code board put up at the Ganesh pandal in Khairatabad on Friday.

The Ganesh Utsav Committee, Khairatabad, came up with this idea as it saves time and manpower of both devotees and organisers.

Lakhs of devotees throng the pandal every year from not just the twin cities but also from the neighbouring towns and villages.

Rekha, a devotee was heard saying, "This is the coolest thing to happen."
