As many as 509 fresh coronavirus positive cases were reported until 8 pm on Wednesday taking the total tally to 2,79,644 while the fatalities to 1,505 with three new deaths in the last 24 hours.
As many as 509 fresh coronavirus positive cases were reported until 8 pm on Wednesday taking the total tally to 2,79,644 while the fatalities to 1,505 with three new deaths in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, the recovery count went up to 2,70,967 with 517 recoveries in a single day. At present, there are 7,172 active cases out of which 5,063 are in-home or institutional isolation.
Between Tuesday and Wednesday, around 48,652 samples were tested including 21,406 on primary contacts and 5,838 on secondary contacts. However, the results of 509 turned positive and the reports of 717 are awaited.
The positive cases reported across the state include 104 from GHMC, 45 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 42 from Rangareddy, 27 from Warangal Urban, 25 from Khammam, 19 from Siddipet, 18 from Sangareddy, 15 each from Suryapet and Karimnagar, 14 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 13 each from Nalgonda, Peddapalli and Jagtial, 12 from Mancherial, 11 each from Nagarkurnool, Mahabubabad, Nizamabad, 10 each from Mulugu and Rajanna Sircilla, 9 from Yadadri Bhongir, 8 from Warangal Rural, 7 from Wanaparthy, 6 each from Adilabad, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Komarambheem Asifabad and Medak, 5 each from Vikarabad, Jangaon, 4 from Kamareddy, 2 each from Jogulamba Gadwal and Narayanpet.
