Hyderabad: The Excise Enforcement officials of Hyderabad on Tuesday arrested a couple on charges of allegedly supplying drugs at Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills area.

The police seized nine grams cocaine, two cars, four mobile phones and one swiping machine from the possession of the accused.

According to N Anjireddy, Assistant Excise Superintendent, Excise Enforcement, on reliable information they conducted raid near Saibaba Temple at Banjara hills road no 12 and found the accused with illegal possession of cocaine.

The accused couple was also allegedly involved in transportation and sale of cocaine.

The seized nine grams cocaine along with Rs 3 lakh towards sale proceeds of cocaine from the possession of Shaik Fahad (37) and his wife Salima Rabbiul Shaik (27), residents of Brindavan Colony in Towlichowki.

Earlier on June 2, the enforcement officials arrested B Santosh and Mohammed Masood for supplying cocaine and opium in Film Nagar under Jubilee Hills Police station limits and seized seven grams cocaine, two grams opium and net cash of Rs 1.13 lakh, three motorcycles used for transportation of cocaine. On that day the main supplier of cocaine Shaik Fahad absconded from the spot.

On Tuesday, Fahad and his wife were caught red-handed while trying to sell cocaine at Road No 12 in Banjara Hills. During the course of investigation, it was revealed that Fahad has been running a brothel for the past seven-eight years at Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills areas.

In January 2018, he was arrested along with his gang by Jubilee Hills Police under PITA (Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act).

After being released from the jail, he shifted his base to Film Nagar and took a house on rent for Rs 75,000 per month and started new brothel.

When he noticed some of the customers were taking drugs in his presence, he hatched a plan to sell drugs to his customers by purchasing it from a Nigerian at Sun City for Rs 6,000 per gram and selling the same for Rs 7,500 per gram.

Later, he started supplying cocaine at Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Madhapur, Gachibowli, Kukatpally areas by engaging staff and by taking orders over mobile phones through voice calls and WhatsApp calls and chats.

The original case papers along with two accused and seized contraband were handed over to SHO, Ameerpet for further action.
