Khammam: CPM district secretary Nunna Nageswara Rao condemned the arrest of 13 farmers in Nelakondapalli agriculture market and demanded the government to immediately withdraw the cases filed against the said paddy farmers.

He also warned the government of protests all over district if the cases were not withdrawn.

In a public statement released on Friday, Nunna made several demands including purchase of soaked paddy and chilli crop from the farmers and also demanded supply of bags and transportation facility at all the agriculture markets.

He extended his support to the farmers who incurred losses due to untimely rains that damaged their crop. He demanded fair compensation from government to all the farmers who incurred losses.
