Cycle rally held to create awareness on Ozone Day in Ramagundam
A massive cycle rally was held on the occasion of Ozone Day, Swachhta Hi Seva and Rajbasha Day in NTPC township in Ramagundam of Peddapalli district on Monday.
Ramagundam: A massive cycle rally was held on the occasion of Ozone Day, Swachhta Hi Seva and Rajbasha Day in NTPC township in Ramagundam of Peddapalli district on Monday.
Prem Prakash, Chief General Manager (Project) along with K Ravidas, Environmental Engineer of Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB), the chief guests, flagged off the cycle rally in NTPC township where in hundreds of school students participated. Speaking on the occasion, Prem Prakash explained the importance of Ozone layer and its affects if it is depleted along with bad effects of single use plastic and promotion of Rajbhasha Hindi along with the importance of Swachhta Hi Seva.
Later, the participants administered Ozone Day and Swachha Pledge to keep the environment clean and green. The children performed a play showing the importance of Rajbhasha, the Hindi language.
The employees from NTPC and CISH along with their family members participated in large number along with the students from various schools.
