Cycle rally to create awareness on Independence Day in Karimnagar

Karimnagar: Along with patriotism, people must be aware of environment in which they are living and must play a key role in protecting it, said Joint Collector GV Shyam Prasad Lal. He inaugurated an awareness cycle rally about Independence Day from SRR Degree and PG College to Telangana Chowk in Karimnagar on Wednesday. Karimnagar District Cycling Association has organised the rally.

Speaking on the occasion, Joint Collector GV Shyam Prasad Lal told the people to understand the sacrifices made by great personalities to get independence to the country and to strictly follow rules and guidelines that have been framed by the constitution.

Cycling is one of the best exercises and everyone must make it as a daily habit, which also protects the environment. The people in well-developed nations like China, Japan, Switzerland and Canada are more inclining to cycling and making it as their daily routine, he stated.

Cycling Association President Dr V Narendar Reddy said many people in the current world do not have much knowledge about how to protect the environment and directly or indirectly becoming responsible in polluting the environment. To create awareness about cycling and protection of environment, the district cycling association is conducting various programmes for all sections of the people, he added.

Cycling Association Chairman Captain Dr V Madhusudhan Reddy, Surabhi Venugopal, Rajaiah, Ramesh, Jagadishwara Chary, M Satyam, Aravind, Dr Ajay Kondal and students of various educational institutions were present.
