DEO reviews Electoral Verification programme

Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner & District Electoral Officer Lokesh Kumar and Joint Chief Electoral Officer Ravi Kiran held a review meeting on Electoral Verification Programme and Demographically Similar Entries of voter names in GHMC, Head Office, here on Tuesday.
During the review meeting, the Commissioner instructed the EROs of all Assembly segments of GHMC to speed up the EVP and DSE works and to be completed within a week. He said while verifying the form-7, the deletions of similar entries issues utmost care should be taken and must strictly follow procedure along with recorded statement and maintain files for each deletion. There should be no deletions without a recorded statement.
If required to depute additional staff and complete the work within the stipulated period further, he added. All DMC / EROs / AEROs of all circles and senior officials from elections Department attended the meeting.
