Warangal: Commissioner of Police V Ravinder, who commenced Ganesh idol immersion at Chinna Waddepally cheruvu here on Wednesday, said that arrangements are in place for Lord Ganesha's immersion at all designated spots. He said around 6,182 idols would be immersed.
"CCTV cameras have been installed at all vantage points to monitor the procession of idols from the Command Control Centre," he said. Ravinder said that they are also using the services of NCC cadets during the procession and at immersion points, in addition to huge police force. The immersion was peaceful when reports last came in.
