Mattapally (Suryapet): The flood waters have entered the famous Srilaxmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Mattapally village of Matampally mandal in the district on Wednesday. The temple pushkar ghat was inundated and the water entered the sanctum sanctorum. Devotees had a tough time in having the darshan of the Lord on the day. Meanwhile, the Krishna river has been flowing aggressively with heavy inflows from upstream areas for the last three days.

According to official sources, the discharge from Nagarjunasagar project has been 5.18 lakh cusecs, whereas inflows from upstream Srisailam dam were 6.17 lakh cusecs.
