Hyderabad: Doctors part of Healthcare Reforms Doctors Association (HRDA) are holding a day long protest at Dharna Chowk, Indira Park opposing the government's proposed move to hike retirement age of teaching faculty in Government Medical Colleges.
Holding placards, doctors urged the government not to go ahead with a decision that will seriously impact young doctors passing out of colleges. Meanwhile, Junior doctors from Osmania General Hospital and Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital boycotted elective duties for the second consecutive day on the same issue.
They assembled in respective hospital premises and gave slogans demanding the government to drop the age hike proposal.
