Patancheru: The one-day strike by the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) employees at EPF office here demanding immediate solution to their problems was successful, claimed All-India EPF Staff Federation local unit secretary Kasivishwanath.
Addressing them, Kasivishwanath recalled that the employees had staged lunch-hour demonstrations from August 19 to 23. He demanded immediate implementation of the anomaly redress accepted by the Central organisation and filling of vacant posts on a permanent basis, inter-State transfers.
Among those who took part in the demonstration were union leaders Mansoor Basha, Nagendra Kumar, Raja Ramesh, Bhavani Shankar , Mallayya.
