A group of four scientists from the Geological Survey of India (GSI), Hyderabad visited Dr BR Ambedkar Social Welfare College for Girls in Khammam on Thursday.

Khammam : A group of four scientists from the Geological Survey of India (GSI), Hyderabad visited Dr. BR Ambedkar Social Welfare College for Girls in Khammam on Thursday.

The scientists interacted with students and explained them the GSI's activities and field of mineral exploration and mapping. They also explained the role of geology in nation building since 1851 when GSI was established. They also explained the study of earth science to the students. The visiting scientists answered the queries of students. They praised the students and encouraged them. Scientists Ch Raghupathi, Munmun Chakravathy, G Ramesh, and Promita and College Principal Swaroopa Rani and Vice Principal and faculty of the college attended the programme.
