Patancheru: The GHMC Vending Committee has commenced a survey on vendors running daily business on footpaths in Patancheru market. As part of the survey, Deputy Commissioner Balayya, who is also chairman of the committee, interacted with the traders to know their problems. The GHMC plans to divide the traders into red, green and yellow zones to limit their business activities and to shift them elsewhere.

Balayya explained that no business activity would be allowed in the red zone, trading would be allowed in the green zone and the yellow zone would limit business activity only during festivals and special days. Balayya informed the media that the exercise would be completed in a week and a report would be submitted to higher-ups.

Among those who accompanied the DC were Project Officer Punyavathi, Patancheru Traffic police, officials of various departments, Small Traders'Samaikya members S K Yousuf, Dhanalakshmi and Satyanarayana.
