Addressing on the occasion, Koppula Eswhar said the government is striving hard for uplifting the farming community. It is supporting and helping farmers right from the time of sowing of seeds to selling of produce by providing all kinds of facilities that are required for them.

The government is supplying seeds, fertilizers, modern equipment on subsidy to farmers so that they can get maximum yield and profits from the crops they cultivate. Identifying the hard work of farmers, the government itself is purchasing the food grains so that they do not become victims of middlemen. The farmers also, in turn, should support the government, he added.

The Minister told farmers to dry their produce first and then bring it to the purchasing centres for selling, and added that they should not forget to carry the Adhaar cards and pattadar passbooks.

As the details of the farmers are enrolled online, the money to the produce which is sold to the government will be deposited directly into the bank accounts of farmers. If there is a requirement of a purchasing centre anywhere in the district, it will be established in that area, assured Minister Koppula Eshwar.

Zilla Parishad chairman Dhava Vasantha, addressing on the occasion, said that as Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is very well aware of farmers' problems, for their convenient he has taken decision to establish the purchasing centres equipped with all required facilities near to their region.

For the wellbeing of farmers, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao took up the Kaleshwaram project and completed it in a record time of just three years. Now the Kaleswaram water is supplied for irrigation purpose through several canals and lakes in the district. By utilising all the schemes and facilities provided by the TRS government, the farmers must develop economically, she appealed.

MLA Sanjay Kumar, Markfed chairman Loka Bapu Reddy, Joint Collector Rajesham, District Marketing Officer Prakash, PD of DRDA Lakshminarayana, Markfed DM Divya Bharathi, DAO of Agriculture department Ameena Bi, vice chairman of ZP Haricharan Rao and others were present on the occasion.
