Hyderabad: Graduates and teachers have given a big shock to ruling TRS party in the MLC elections.

UTF candidate Alugubelli Narsi Reddy, who was backed by CPI (M) and Congress, has defeated sitting MLC Poolu Ravinder of PRTU, who was supported by TRS, from the Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda constituency. Of the total 18,027 votes polled, Narsi Reddy secured 9,021 votes and Ravinder got 6,292 votes.

Meanwhile, Congress senior leader and former minister T Jeevan Reddy has won from Karimnagar-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Medak Graduates Constituency. While BJP candidate Sugunakar Rao was the runner up, Chandrashekhar Goud of TRS stood a distant third.
