Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has sanctioned Ra 6 lakh as immediate assistance to extend good medical treatment to Chandraiah who was injured in brutal murder of revenue official Vijaya Reddy recently.

The Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has sanctioned Rs 6 lakh medical assistance to K Chandraiah, attender of slain Tahsildar Vijaya Reddy. K Chandraiah suffered burn injuries while trying to nab the offender who set the Tahsildar afire on November 4.

He was shifted to Apollo DRDO hospital and is undergoing treatment. Sanctioning the medical expenses spent so far, the Chief Minister directed the hospital to extend the treatment of K Chandraiah and send the medical bills. The attender is reported to have asked to leave mid-treatment due to lack of payment of dues and was shifted to Owaisi hospital where they refused to admit him.

Later, Chandraiah's family has decided to shift him to Gandhi Hospital. "The Apollo DRDO hospital called again and assured to provide the treatment required, said Chandraiah's nephew, G Narayana. However, the hospital denied it and said that the patient's condition is still critical and needed a few more surgeries.

Narayana also asked to check the CCTV footage at the Owaisi hospital after the Apollo management refuted the allegations
