Harish lauds winners of swimming tourney
The swimmers of erstwhile Medak district stood third in the recently concluded 5th inter district sub-junior and junior competitions at Hanmakonda. Former Minister Harish Rao appreciated the winners.
Siddipet: The swimmers of erstwhile Medak district stood third in the recently concluded 5th inter district sub-junior and junior competitions at Hanmakonda. Former Minister Harish Rao appreciated the winners.
Speaking on the occasion, he said an international standard swimming pool was set up at Siddipet and national, state-level competitions were also held. "That is why youth from the town developed interest towards swimming and also this is essential for health," he added.
As many as 30 swimmers participated in the competition in which Vamsi, Sai Akshit, Tanisk excelled and bagged bronze medals. Harish Rao said that the same spirit should continue further and participate in state and national-level competitions.
He appreciated the president of Medak Swimming Association Barla Mallikarjun for promoting the sport and encouraging the swimmers in the district. Later, he gave away certificates and bronze medals to the winners.
