The Telangana High court issued stay orders on the demolition of the Secretariat building. The court has said that the petition will come for investigation after Dussehra holidays until then the no building should be demolished. It is known the fact that the chief minister of Telangana K Chandrashekar Rao decided to build a new secretariat upon the demolishing the old buildings.

The government has laid the foundation in June for new buildings for Secretariat and the assembly by demolishing the existing ones. In June. However, there is a revolt from all the political parties for CM's decision to collapse the historic buildings.

The New secretariat is expected to cost a whopping amount of Rs 400 crore, while a new assembly building would cost at the expense of Rs 100 crore.
