Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy said a 100-bed hospital was set up in Banswada to provide medical services to the public, after inaugurating a blood bank here on Friday.
Kamareddy: Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy said a 100-bed hospital was set up in Banswada to provide medical services to the public, after inaugurating a blood bank here on Friday.
Reminding the past days when patients and doctors suffered a lot without a blood bank in Banswada Government Area Hospital, the Speaker said now the hospital can provide all types of medical services with the establishment of a blood bank. He urged the donors to come forward to donate blood, saying that those people, who donate blood, are equal to God. Donating blood is saving a life, he stated.
District Collector Satyanarayana praised Speaker Srinivasa Reddy,who always works for welfare of the people. The Speaker always wanted the poor to have access to medical services, he added.
On the first day, 25 people came forward to donate blood at the blood bank. Collector Satyanarayana and Speaker Reddy congratulated the donors. DM&HO Ajay Kumar, Area Hospital Superintendent Srinivas Prasad, Banswada RDO Rajeshwar, District Farmers Coordination Committee Chairperson Anjireddy, Banswada ZPTC Padmagopal Reddy, MPP Neeraja Venkat Reddy, party leaders from Banswada, Nasurlabad, Varni and Birkur mandals and others participated in the programme.
