Hyderabad: Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali on Tuesday visited the residence of Ozair Kadir, who died in the attack on mosques at Christchurch in New Zealand on Friday. The Home Minister along with MIM leaders Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, Riyaz Ul Hassan Effandi and Sohail Khadri and Haj Committee members visited the house of the victim located in Noor Khan Bazaar in Old City.

The Minister met the father of victim Habib Kadir and expressed his condolence to the bereaved family. He termed the incident as unfortunate and assured the family members that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will speak to the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and make efforts to bring the body as soon as possible to the city for burial. Mahmood Ali also assured the victim's family members that all possible help will be provided to them from the State government.

Later, he visited the residence of another victim Iqbal Jahangir at Amberpet, who is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in New Zealand after sustaining serious injuries in the firing incident. Mahmood Ali met Jahangir's family members and extended all possible support from the Telangana government.
