Hyderabad: The two-day long Sri Krishna Janmastami festival celebrations concluded at Hare Krishna Golden Temple on Wednesday.
Keeping in view the current COVID-19 pandemic situation the devotees were allowed only for general darshan and in strict adherence to the COVID regulations like masks were mandatory, regular thermal temperature check, social distancing measures, sanitizing arrangements, no offerings like flowers or coconuts, and further children and elders were advised to stay at home.
The Krishna Janmsathami celebrations began with "Shodashopachara Seva" beginning at early morning 4.30 am, then Lord Sri Radha Govinda was adorned with select flowers, new vastras, specially crafted jewellery and a grand Shringara Arati was performed internally by the pujaris and then darshan was opened up for all the devotees starting from 8 am along with the beautiful Darshan of Sri Goda Krishna.
A unique offering of 56 specially made food preparations traditionally called 'Chappan Bhog' was offered followed by Raja Bhoga arati which was performed with bhajans and kirtan at noon.
The most auspicious "Maha Abhishekam" was performed at 9 pm internally by pujaris amid the chanting of vedic mantras and soul stirring melodious Harinam sankirtan.
The Maha Abhishekam was telecast live on Hare Kirhsna Golden Temple, Youtube channel.
Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Prabhuji, President of Hare Krishna Movement, Hyderabad conveyed his good wishes for all the devotees of Lord Sri Krishna.
