Hyderabad: Three IPS trainee officers being trained at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) have been reported positive of Covid-19 and two CRPF Jawans who were deployed at a group centre in Chandrayangutta also tested positive.

According to sources, the trainee IPS officers were asked to quarantine themselves and they tested positive after they returned from District Practical Training programme.

Whereas other trainee IPS officers who were with the three trainees were also instructed to isolate themselves after testing.

The CRPF Jawans who tested positive at Chandrayangutta group centre arrived in the city from different states and the entire battalion which arrived was instructed to test and isolate themselves, said the police sources.
