Hyderabad: Corporator Jagdishwar Goud attention drawn to stinking issue in Madhapur

Madhapur: Local Corporator V Jagdishwar Goud on Wednesday expressed his resolve to solve the problems facing the Madhapur division and be always available to find solutions. He was speaking after residents of Harijan Basti, Arunodaya Colony, Sainagar, Sriram Colony, Guttala Begumpet, Wadderbasti brought to his notice a serious issue like underground drainage, as a consequence of which drains were overflowing onto roads.

Goud has been inspecting for the last one week the areas along with officials. They concluded that the drains were overflowing after the Hyderabad Metro Rail officials had covered a manhole with footpath. He visited the spot along with the GHMC sanitation staff and Metro Rail officials.

On Wednesday, Chandanagar GHMC Deputy Commissioner Sudamsh, GHMC EE China Reddy, DE Srirupa Devi, Dr Ravi Kumar, sanitation supervisor Srinivas, Metro Rail EE Naveen Kumar, DE Chandrakanath, along with residents inspected manhole covers in Guttala Begumpet, Sainagar, Harijjanbasti. Among those who accompanied them were TRS party leaders Sahadev, Gopal, Arjun, Dhanraj, Satyanarayana, Subramanyam, Rajesh, Sanitation SRPs Srinivas and Santosh.
