The police suspected that the bird might have been hit by a vehicle when it came on the road. A probe is on.
In July, 2018, as many as 24 peacocks were found dead in a span of 10 days in Jogulamba-Gadwal and Nagarkurnool districts.
In Nagarkurnool, 14 peacocks were dead in a day and it was suspected that they might have fed on poisonous insecticides used by farmers.
