With Dr Gangadhar testing positive, Eatala and at least 10 senior officials of the department will have to undergo a corona test to check if they got any infection.

This news broke out after CM K Chandrashekar Rao held a high-level health review in which Eatala and these senior officials of the department took part.

As many as 23 journalists from various news publications and channels tested Covid positive on Sunday. Another TRS MLA Bajireddy Govardhan from Nizamabad also tested positive and is learnt to have been admitted to a corporate hospital in the city.

Coming to fresh cases, Telangana registered 237 cases with Hyderabad alone registering close to two hundred cases. Medchal and Ranga Reddy reported 10 and 8 cases respectively.

While the State registered a high number of cases, only three deaths on Sunday came as a big relief to the health authorities.
