Hyderabad: Lal Darwaza temple makeover begins
The renovation and painting works of Simhavahini Mahankali temple in Lal Darwaza were launched by the temple committee in the presence of Bandlaguda MRO Farheen Shaik on Friday.
Hyderabad: The renovation and painting works of Simhavahini Mahankali temple in Lal Darwaza were launched by the temple committee in the presence of Bandlaguda MRO Farheen Shaik on Friday. The yearly celebrations of Bonalu festivities turn 112 this year, the temple committee along with Farheen Shaik performed special pooja on purnima and started the yearly renovation and painting works.
According to temple committee, the Bonalu festivities start from June 22 in the city, and the Old City Bonalu festivities would begin from July 10. The main two-day procession will be held on July 19-20. This year the festivities will be celebrated as per the guidelines given by the government given the Covid infection.
Newly elected temple committee chairman J Lakshmi Narayan Goud, vice-president K Venkatesh, general secretary B Maruthi Yadav, treasurer G Arvind Goud and other committee members were present.
