Hyderabad : Lighting, patrolling to be improved at underpasses
In view of the heinous murder of Disha, the Cyberabad Police decided to take up measures to improve vigilance and security for better safety.

Under the process, Shamshabad DCP N Prakash Reddy along with Cyberabad Traffic DCP S M Vijay Kumar on Tuesday conducted a meeting with NHAI authority and Municipal officers of Shamshabad.
In the meeting, they decided that illumination of places at all median and villages and public movement areas along highway must be taken up at the earliest.
The provision of truck parking bays along highways so that vehicles entering or exiting Outer Ring Road (ORR) shall not wait on service roads.
The lighting under vehicular underpasses and pedestrian underpasses and underbridges would be improved and SOS boards with emergency numbers would be arranged.
The officials also decided to increase the number of highway patrol vehicles and cranes of NHAI.
