In a gruesome incident, a man sleeping near metro pillar number 1176 was found murdered on Sunday.

According to inspector Chintala Saidireddy, Bangari (56), a native of Jinugupalli Tanda of Lingala in Nagarkurnool had moved to Hyderabad 15 years ago along with family and was residing at Mahabharat Nagar in Khairatabad.

On Saturday night, Bangari and his wife Chandi had an argument and in a fit of rage, he thrashed his wife following which she left the house. Bangari too came out of the house and slept near the metro pillar near at Khairatabad. He was found dead on Sunday morning with severe head injuries.

The police suspected that he was bludgeoned to death after finding a stone with blood near him. The police took up the investigation and are questioning his wife and three sons.
